This Privacy Policy explains how LnPicker ("we," "us," or "the tool") handles information when you use our LinkedIn Comment Picker at lnpicker.com. We've tried to write it in plain language. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we'll explain it properly. This policy was last updated in 2026.
The short version
LnPicker is built to need very little about you. You don't create an account to run a draw, you never give us your LinkedIn password, and the comment data we read is already public. We collect what we need to run the tool, process payments, and keep the service working, and nothing we can avoid collecting.
What we collect
Public LinkedIn comment data. When you paste a public post URL, the tool reads the public comments on that post — things like commenter names, comment text, and reply structure — so it can build the pool of eligible entries and draw winners. This information is already visible to anyone who can see the post. We don't access private posts, private messages, or anything behind a login.
Information you give us. If you email us at [email protected] or contact us through Facebook or WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to send, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We don't store your full card details on our servers. Stripe processes the transaction and shares limited information with us, such as confirmation of payment and the email tied to the subscription, so we can manage your access. Stripe's own privacy terms apply to the payment itself.
Basic technical and usage data. Like most websites, we may collect standard technical information such as your browser type, device type, approximate region, and how the tool is used (for example, how many draws were run). This helps us fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
Cookies and similar technologies. We may use cookies or local storage to keep the tool working, remember basic preferences, and understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect how the tool functions.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for or store your LinkedIn login credentials. We don't read private or connection-only content. We don't build advertising profiles about you, and we don't sell your personal information to anyone.
How we use information
We use the information above to run draws and return winners, process and manage subscriptions, respond to your messages, keep the service secure and prevent misuse, fix problems, and understand in aggregate how the tool is used so we can improve it. We don't use your data for purposes you wouldn't reasonably expect from a giveaway tool.
When we share information
We share information only in a few limited situations. We use trusted service providers — such as Stripe for payments and standard hosting and analytics providers — who process data on our behalf and are expected to protect it. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, users, or the public from harm or abuse. If our business is ever transferred, information may move as part of that transfer, and we'd let users know. Outside of these cases, we don't share your personal information with third parties.
How long we keep data
We keep public comment data only as long as needed to run your draw and provide your exports; it isn't something we have a reason to retain long-term. Contact emails and billing records are kept as long as needed to support you and meet legal or accounting obligations, then deleted or anonymized. If you'd like us to delete information we hold about you, email [email protected] and we'll help.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to ask for a copy of your data. We honor these requests regardless of location where we reasonably can. To exercise any of them, email [email protected] from the address associated with your request so we can verify it. You can also control cookies in your browser and choose not to provide information, though some features may not work without it.
Children
LnPicker is meant for adults running giveaways and contests, and it isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age required by their local law. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us, and we'll remove it.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect information, including limiting what we collect in the first place — the data we never hold can't be exposed. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security, but we work to keep risk low and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
International users
LnPicker is available worldwide, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the tool evolves or the law changes. When we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, note it on the site. Continuing to use LnPicker after an update means you accept the revised policy.
